The 3rd Annual Publix Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic
presented by Sharp Business Systems and hosted by Jim “Mad Dog” Mandich, was a huge success.
The competition was strong, but after all the fish were weighed in, the winner was team Anejo with 127.10 points. The team took home total winnings of $21,587.50. Mike Simpson aboard Anejo also captured the title of Top Angler. Second place in the tournament was won by O-Sea-D with 116.80 points, who took home a total of $6,230.00 and third place was 305 with 114.30 points, who also won 3rd place Funfish Fortune. The Top Lady Angler was Stephanie Gordon aboard Wound Up with 52.10 points.
After the weigh-in and dock party, anglers, sponsors and guests enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the beautiful Texas de Brazil. During the awards ceremony the Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic was proud to donate $18,000 to Shake-a-Leg Miami and $3,000 to the Coastal Conservation Association.
The Publix Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic will host its Florida Keys tournament on October 22nd & 23rd, 2010 at the Chesapeake Beach Resort in Islamorada, Florida.
